Molly Update

Well, Molly's blood count has gone back up since she spent some more time at the vets' place. Still no word on a cause, yet. For now, about all we can do is hope the current round of medication'll work. Hopefully, we won't have to make the hard decision.

We're worried this might be a genetic thing, rather than an environmentally-caused problem.

SUPER UPDATE: The vets have determined it's a blood parasite. Molly's doing pretty well so far on antibiotics. She's more alert, now. Now we just need to give her some recovery time followed by lots of rounds of chasing a point of laser light on the ground. All the iron and resulting appetite increase made her fat.

Well, that's some good news at least. How old is she, or do you not know? It could just be some aging problem (of course, I'm no vet, so s/he'll be a better judge).

Let's hope that anonymous commenter from before doesn't latch onto that statement as evidence she's "turning into a monkey."

Yeah.

As for age, she's still a young adult. Don't know her precise age, since she simply showed up on our deck one day.

Well, I hope they got the right diagnosis this time. I'm glad she's doing better.

Speaking of laser light rounds, Kafka's needs new batteries. He's been toning up.

Excellent news.

Ah, that's good to hear, though I was kind of hoping it was a simple case of Polymorph Other; that's a lot easier to treat.

Just relieve her of the pain and place a nice swift bullet through her head.

Survival of the fittest.

And that, skepchicks and skepdudes, is further evidence to support my hypothesis that theists with objective moral values are exceedingly rare.

Note how Weapon also jumped straight to violence as a means of the fit surviving. It's very telling.

Next thing you know you will jump in the band wagon of Save the Chicken.

Or maybe the animal activist , Wipe the Cat's Rear.

I wonder how many times Bronzedog has resorted to such tender measures.

Or maybe the Save the cat, abort the baby

I think we can now safely say that Weapon has zero morality.

He has no compassion for the suffering of his fellow sentient beings or their non-sentient friends.

He speaks in stereotypes and propagandistic insinuation.

He unceasingly lies about what evolution means, and expects us to believe his random, nihilistic, capricious deity is a superior explanation.

He openly and proudly defecates on the concept of love and companionship in this comment thread.

He profanes everything it means to be a thinking, caring person.

Nothing is sacred to him except his selfish, mastubatory whims.

Well, Weapon, you've almost given yourself as the ultimate bad example of religion. Now all you need to do to complete the image is perform a mass murder. I wouldn't be surprised if you end up converting people to atheism out of sheer moral disgust.

Alright, Weapon, you have now definitively gone too far. Trying to twist this into a jab at all your stereotyped evils is just wrong. If I were in BD's place, I'd likely make it a policy to delete without question any posts you make if and until I received a sincere apology.

Pointless straw man-filled posts deleted. Obviously the fantasy world Weapon lives in has no moral proscription against making shit up about his opponents.

In other news, Molly's getting more active.

Yes it is so blatanly false that it just compells you to delete it?

Ha!

What's the point in keeping them around? They contribute precisely nothing.

Besides, the tortured straw men and non-sequiturs you seem to be endorsing might inflict grave injuries on my reader's minds.

You need medication. The fact that I love my cat doesn't mean that I'm some PETA-esque nut who values animal lives over humans.

How's this for snapping your tiny uncomprehending brain: I'm a teetotaler, and yet I once voted in favor of turning my county wet. If you avoid the fallacy of fecal invention (commonly known as the "don't make shit up" fallacy), you'll notice that there is precisely zero hypocrisy involved. Of course, I doubt you can refrain from that.
