Well, I may need to buy furniture later this year, since I may be getting my own place. My mother recommended
West Elm for some of the modern stuff I like, but I'm always up for better prices. I can go for
this dresser in chocolate, but I'll be needing a couch, and maybe a chair or two to go with
my glass. In other words, a dark blue.

That West Elm stuff is nice. I'll have to remember them for when I have money to burn.
Well, my first apartment was furnished out of a combination of thrift store finds and scavenged from home except for one build it yourself desk and a cheap plastic shelving unit.
My second apartment was furnished out of IKEA, and I still have a lot of it twenty years later. Okay, the lamination is coming off the dressers, but they're still serviceable after a major move.
Wouldn't something like this be more up your alley? I mean, why by furniture if you're not allowed up on it?
Seriously, though, all my living spaces so far have been furnished with what the school provided, what my family had, and what quasIkea stuff was available at Wal-Mart.
Tom F.?
Looks like Tom Foss changed his nickname. Sort of like I did, except that I wasn't too active before changing it.
Oh, I know it's Tom. I'm just curious about the change.
I'm just playing around with stuff, mostly. It'll go back sometime today; there's no real reason for the semi-anonymity, especially at this point.
