Just made the call to kill my TV. Currently emptying my DVR. Now I've got to face the crippling effects of nigh-infinite freedom of choice on my Netflix streaming. I've got more Farscape to contextualize for the time being.
If I can get science channel specials, Daily Show/Colbert Report, the few remaining good shows there are on Cartoon Network any more (live action movies? Seriously?), then I've pretty much got everything I bother with on TV any more. Plus it's not like I won't still get the broadcasted stations. I guess I'm just wondering about how well Netflix works.
Or you could get out of that chair and go out, take a breath of that air and maybe travel? Start with the closest town, and then maybe, just maybe, you could leave the state......
Okay, that wasto far, just joking, next town is enough....
I wonder, when I see people like you, is it your parents that told you not to travel? Are they responsible for this pathetic behaviour? If they are, they are truly disgusting ignorant people who are so afraid of the world that they make their son equal, "dont travel, dont do anything, if you need to know something, use Wikipedia, but DO NOT TRAVEL, it is dangerous to learn"...
Some of us have jobs and families, Gabe. Those tend to root you to one place for extended periods of time. During which time, some people like to engage in leisure activities, such as watching movies and television shows, or reading books.
I'm sure you're unfamiliar with that last one, Gabe, given your apparent inability to read or understand the meanings of words placed in front of your face. You tell us to get out and travel, I'm going to tell you to stay in for once and educate yourself, instead of going out and filtering every experience through your preexisting prejudices.
Back on the topic, most of my paltry amount of TV watching these days centers around the Daily Show, MSNBC, Mythbusters, and the occasional food-related show. Most of which aren't, for various reasons, available on Netflix (and my connection's not the greatest for streaming). So I'll be keeping the cable for the foreseeable future.
Gabe: Or you could get out of that chair and go out, take a breath of that air and maybe travel?
Yeah, because hopping in my car and driving about will learn me that statistical mathematics is just another Zionist conspiracy, that logic is an excuse not to trust Gabriel's infallible god-man senses, and that stones are the primary ingredient in soups.
You really are pathetic, Gabe. Do you seriously believe that 1) capital-A Authority exists and that 2) frequent flier miles equals how big an Authority you are?
Last I checked, the scientific method applied to everyone equally. But all you can do is beg for special exception from basic principles of logic based on some irrelevant travel criterion.
That's what you seem to be doing, because for some bizarre reason, you reject the whole of logic and how I present your fallacies because you have this baseless idea that I don't travel and that I blindly trust Wikipedia.
(Hint, hint: I may not travel a lot, but I rarely even look at Wikipedia.)
Of course, we all know you made up all that crap because you're constantly, constantly desperate to avoid talking about the real issues and harbor a need to apply your post-modernist deconstructionist literature PhD or whatever empty, irrelevant newage learning you have to real life.
That sort of travel might help for your creation of 'artsy' stuff, (or acting like a snooty beatnik) but even if you traveled to every inch of the universe, 2+2 would still equal 4. The scientific method is the same everywhere.
You may move around in the real world a lot, but you're too caught up in your fantasy life to apply even the simplest of analysis to anything you see. We've been trying to get you to talk about the science and math, but you keep changing the subject to irrelevant ad hominem fallacies about us.
Has it sunk in just how pathetic you look to us, Gabe? When we ask you basic questions about how you know what you claim to know, you change the subject and act like that parenthetical snooty beatnik. That's got to be the single most ineffective way to impress us.
I am sooooo glad I managed to get through my college art classes with so little contact with those sorts.
Gabe, the world you take advantage of couldn't work if everyone was a nomadic traveller. Some people HAVE to live in one place. You are not properly equipped to "tell us" how the world works. Case in point: everything you've ever said about foreign culture contradicts what countless more than you alone have said.
Also, some of us do travel. I don't think a single person here has actually just stayed in one city their whole lives.
Further, no one anywhere ever says "don't travel". Parents don't teach that "these days" like you seem to consider. In fact, people travelled far less back before highways than they do now.
However that is all beside the point. His aside about where he gets his TV from has absolutely no bearing on whether or not your racist assumptions are in any way valid.
Travelling may be an effective way to learn something, or it may not. You have to be paying attention to what happens around you, or else you will stay just the same as you were before you left, besides the tan and the crappy snapshots.
Diamondoid Bitch said... Or you could get out of that Nazi wankfantasy and read Newton's Principia, take a Dawkins book and maybe try to genuinely understand it, instead of stupidly waving it about hoping to impress us. Start with the closest library, and then maybe, just maybe, you could get an education......
Okay, that was to far, just joking, but understanding the Dawkins book is enough....
I wonder, when I see Nazi retards like you Gabe, is it your fuckwitted parents that told you not to read science books? Are they responsible for this pathetic behaviour? If they are, they are truly disgusting ignorant people who were so afraid of the world that they taught their mentally subnormal son "dont read science books, dont do any critical thinking, if you need to know something, read Mein Feigheit, but DO NOT READ SCIENCE BOOKS, it is dangerous to learn about reality"...
Sad. And you Gabe are the saddest non entity to ever grace this planet.
How could our parents tell us to use Wikipedia when it hadn't even been invented? Is Gabe such a greenhorn that he was born subsequent to the development of Wikipedia? Man, I remember when digital watches were the new big thing, and I used to know how to work a slide rule.
For the record, I've circumnavigated the globe. Only visited 4 of the 7 continents so far admittedly, but I've travelled quite a bit. All of my experience tells me that Gabe is full of shit.
Only visited 4 of the 7 continents so far admittedly, but I've travelled quite a bit.
Seven? Never heard a person from the western world think there is seven continents, they teach that in Asia. You then divide Asia and Europe (generally)...
To be honest, I have problems believing that you travelled anywhere, no insult nor anything intended, it is just that I been here for over 6 months and no one travelled at all and now suddenly you travelled, its just very suitable, I suspect its a way to try to grow an inch to be similar to old Ga briel. its fine, whatever you say.
Bronze, your whining seems more like a jealous streak of complaints. I think it boils down to this, you are jealous that you haven`t travelled and will probably never do.
I do not know if it is because you are poor, I do not look down on poor people, and even if I do doubt you got the money it is the attitude you have that is the problem, the Xenophobia.
Love the world, dont be so closeminded and limited, you know nothing about the world before you experienced it, REALITY is the keyword young man, do not fear it. Your excuse is to refer to Science and somehow doing nothing with your life, sitting infront of your computer playing World of Warcraft or other multiplayer games is equal to "world experience", well, live in delusion if you want, but no serious person with any sort of intellect believes that.
Travelling and Experiencing the world makes you Learn alot about the culture and human history as well as your own culture and society, However much you deny it and refuse to accept this, it is still the truth. Sorry.
"Seven? Never heard a person from the western world think there is seven continents, they teach that in Asia. You then divide Asia and Europe (generally)... "
Erm... are you stupid or is it another American oddity to split Asia and Europe?
Either way; It's always been seven to me. N Amer S Amer Africa Europe Asia Australia Antarctica
To split EuroAsia is rather stupid, not to mention ignorant (as EuroAsia is one continent) but that is what we do it seems.
It was different when I was young, we called EuroAsia one Continent, as that is what it is, Today its "Two" Continents (dividing Europe and Asia borderline being various mountain ranges(?)) instead.
Time changes, rather stupidly I am sad to say. I guess Continent simple means political grouping now.
If it were political ideologies; NA, Aust, and Eur would be one continent, Africa and SA would be one Con... Japan would be part of the first one instead of Asia...
Of course, with cultural- we just have to wait until they split Asia in half (Far East and Middle East)
Addendum: If we want to go with the strictest definition: A large continuous mass of land, then North and South America are one continent- connected by an isthmus.
Africa would become a part of Eurasia as well by the isthmus into Asia.
This leaves America Eurasiafrica Australia Antarctica
and a bunch of islands.
- The reason we go to 7 continents has less to do with the definition and is more in line with the arbitrary historical significance- which is why North and South America are seperate, as well as (for reasons that are even stronger) Europe is seperate from Asia.
Gabriel, Love the black man, don't be so closeminded and limited, you know nothing about the world even if you have experienced it (and you lied about Egypt), REALITY is the keyword old man, do not fear it. Your excuse is to refer to "white" magic woo woo and somehow doing nothing constructive with your life, sitting in front of your computer posting laughable dewey eyed Nazi nonsense is equal to "world experience". Well, live in delusion if you want, but no serious person with any sort of critcal thought believes that.
Travelling and Experiencing the world makes you Learn a lot about the culture and human history as well as your own culture and society, However much you deny it and refuse to accept this, it is still the truth. So Gabe next time that you're near a library pick up a book on science and critical thinking.
And learn about fallacies so you don't keep repeating them dumbkopf!
Gabe: Bronze, your whining seems more like a jealous streak of complaints. I think it boils down to this, you are jealous that you haven`t travelled and will probably never do.
Is that how you look at the world of facts, Gabe? Bronze Dog is jealous, therefore the principles of statistical mathematics he cites are a lie? Really
I do not know if it is because you are poor, I do not look down on poor people, and even if I do doubt you got the money it is the attitude you have that is the problem, the Xenophobia.
Which you made up whole cloth. Or do you mean to suggest that the scientific method is inherently xenophobic?
Cut the postmodernist wishy-washy psychobabble.
That's why I don't believe that, Mr. "Math is racist."
Repeating that lie doesn't make it true, ye who cites Harry Potter as "realistic."
Travelling and Experiencing the world makes you Learn alot about the culture and human history as well as your own culture and society, However much you deny it and refuse to accept this, it is still the truth. Sorry.
The problem isn't that I deny that. The problem is that you deny that the scientific method has merit because some mamby-pamby newage bullshit about infallible senses sloppily gathering subjective experience is somehow more accurate than carefully gathered objective census data.
So Gabe, are you going to tell us where your white magic woo woo powers come from, that make you such a pathetic retard of a white person, or are you going to continue whining like a big demented baby?
Bronze Dog said... "Of course, you won't answer because you're too embarrassed to admit you're a stoner hippie."
I think that is a good explanation for Gabe's rambling and forgetfulness. He has a toke on some uberskunk from his chillum, and then goes online to post his Nazi drivel. I do take issue with Gabe being a hippy though. He sounds nothing like Steve Hillage!
I mean, I didn't really mention it much, but I spent my eighteenth birthday in Greece. The summer before that, I was on a bike trip in Canada. Then, the year before that, I was on a school band/orchestra trip to Vienna and Budapest over spring break.
Most of my other travel has been within the country, including Philadelphia, Houston, and Providence for college tours, plane and road trips to Florida to visit relatives, plane trips to California to visit family friends, trips to various places to get to giant family reunions, and a cross-country road-trip when I was around three years old, from California to Massachusetts.
Now, you'll notice that none of this is relevant to the fact that Gabe has all the coherency and consistency of a demented stoner. That's why I didn't bring it up much, except for when I did, and Gabe specifically responded to it.
Gabe, you're a complete waste of time. It's like you're not even trying anymore. Just trolling.
"I've travelled and you haven't, blah blah blah, you live in your mom's basement and play video games, blah blah blah, everything you know comes from wikipedia, blah blah blah..."
What's particularly sad is how Gabe got started on all this travel stuff: "You need to see that the world is pretty much as you expect it to be, and then you'll know you're wrong!"
Gabe, for something to change our minds, it has contradict our predictions, NOT verify them.
On a related note: We want to talk about genetics, the philosophy of science and statistical mathematics, census data and other "hard" forms of information.
Gabe wants us to talk about psychobabble, one-upmanship on frequent flier miles, Harry Potter, and how arithmetic makes us feel and other inconsequential squishy soft gibberish.
I kind of feel like Lisa Simpson in that episode where they divided the school into boys and girls, giving the girls some math class taught by crystal waver asking for opinions on how a plus sign smells, and that the "male" perspective of math as problems that have to be "attacked" and "solved" is sexist.
After all, Gabe called me a racist for basing my opinion on hard math with census data. Hence, Gabe thinks math is racist.
He's just going in loops again. He doesn't even have the long term memory to acknowledge that we already have denied this idiotic stereotype (then again, his whole worldview is nothing but unproven stereotypes). No, we don't live in various mother's basements. We don't spend all our time playing WOW (I'm pretty sure most of us don't play it at all), and as has been pointed out, we've been researching this stuff long before wikipedia ever hit the scene. Wikipedia is just a tool. At best, it is where you can START research, but it is not the finish line. Everything on Wikipedia, in a good article, is sourced. Follow the sources to get the data. We've linked a few of those sources, but you've ignored that. Someone talked about it on wikipedia, and so in spite of the fact that the article has a valid source for the info, it must still be wrong.
Further, you visiting countries all over the world doesn't matter. You only see such a ridiculously small fraction, pre-selected to be in a poor condition if your claim to be part of some relief group is accurate, that it is silly to claim it indicative of the culture at large. We've pointed this out. We've also pointed out that you aren't perfect. You are clearly biased, and were before ever visiting these countries, so what else COULD you see? As evidence that your blinders make you wash out everything against your preconception, you STILL insist we're a bunch of basement dwelling nerds, in spite of us directly telling you that's not the case. You have no evidence for it, have provided none at all, except that you are just CONVINCED we are because of your existing preconceptions. This is proof enough that you are no good at judging people. Here's the kicker, you aren't the ONLY one who has ever visited these places. The vast majority who visit these countries do NOT claim the "races" inhabiting them are inferior. If you are going to claim your visitation gives you a priviliged position to judge, you have to explain why, of the group that has visited that place, you are in the vast VAST minority in your judgement of the people there.
Further, the possible explanations for why one group may not be doing as well as another need not be explained by "race" at all. It could simply be an accident of history. It happens all the time. Let me ask you this. Are you rich, poor, middle class? If rich, do you assume that it's your racial superiority that got you there, you stupid blue blood, or maybe it's more accurate that you were simply lucky enough to be born into wealth? If you aren't rich, then maybe you understand that not everyone can be a millionaire, simply due to basic economics really, and it's just bad luck, nothing you personally failed to do, that results in it. There's so much "noise" like that that your extremely limited exposure to the group "black race" (and ALL humans have extremely limited exposure, all races included in this, it's not like there's only 200 of "them" you know, and it's not like every black person secretly has meetings in some huge building so not every black person can be responsible for the actions of the others, they are all individuals).
Oh, and of course there's the issue that your claim has no scientific evidence backing it. We've asked you to formally state a good method of determining white from black. Where is your dividing line? For this to be scientific, you have to be very rigorous in your definitions. Then you can state your explanation. What, if not genes, do you propose is WHY blacks are inferior to whites, and so on?
Then there's my own question that you've failed to even acknowledge I asked. If blacks are inferior to whites, if they are truly intellectual dullars, AND as you have stated you could determine this, what is the race of each of us? Care to take a guess? If you can do as you say, if your claim is true, you SHOULD be able to do this considering how long this "debate" has been going on. If not, have we not said the right things? And if you can't even formulate the sorts of questions you need to ask and the sorts of answers we would need to give to determine our race, then maybe your entire hypothesis is full of crap?
I thought he already tried to do that bit, with the whole weird "I'm not actually insulting you except I am" thing when he called someone else a "nigger". I forget who got this... distinction, though I'm guessing Jacqueline or djfav, since they directly needle him the most.
As to Wikipedia... I was actually pretty uninformed when it first started, though it was on the way to respectability by the time I actually heard about it. (Cut me a break, I was ten when it launched. Also, when I was ten, I was around as informed as Gabe has acted for most of this roast.)
Of course, Gabe can't process our actual view on Wikipedia as just another reference source. About the only thing that separates Wikipedia from encyclopedias is that it's easy to access and edit.
Of course, all edits to Wikipedia, just as they are to all encyclopedias, research journals, and so forth have to go through the same sort of process to be accepted. Gabe, however, seems to believe in something like the opposite of Biblical inerrency: Wikipedia is Automatically Wrong, even if the articles editors faithfully and accurately cite their sources and summarize what the experts and evidence says.
If Wikipedia says 2+2=4 and cites good sources for number theory and renowned mathematicians, then surely 2+2 does NOT equal 4 because Wikipedia says so.
Just because we disagree with you, Gabe, doesn't mean our beliefs are exactly opposite and parallel. Just because you believe Wikipedia is Automatically Wrong doesn't mean we believe Wikipedia is Automatically Right. I certainly don't. Woos love to start editing wars using sloppy research methods. It's the research method that makes a source reliable or not.
Yeah, you are right. You said you are right and g so many times now that it is clear it is right, you also got members who agree and also state that I am wrong, so obviosly, I am wrong.
That is how it works, remember Bronze, a person with experience is less experienced then a person with no experience, just as you say.
Never heard a person from the western world think there is seven continents, they teach that in Asia. You then divide Asia and Europe (generally)...
Wow, Gabe's ignorant of something that the average third grader knows. Color me unsurprised.
Yes, Gabe, they teach that in Asia...and America. And it's not even a new thing; I don't know of anyone who doesn't recognize seven continents. Apparently conventions differ from place to place; some apparently lump the Americas into one continent.
Hey, what do you know, it turns out reality is complicated. Who'd'a thunk it?
To be honest, I have problems believing that you travelled anywhere, no insult nor anything intended, it is just that I been here for over 6 months and no one travelled at all and now suddenly you travelled,
No, Gabe, you've just assumed that no one here has traveled...kind of how you assumed that everyone here was American (remember that?). The rest of us don't feel the need to wave our passports around as if they had any bearing on our arguments...because they don't.
And the rest of your screed just cements your idiocy. Incidentally, "continent" and "landmass" are not the same thing.
As usual, the ranked binary thinking is obvious: either you're a constantly traveling nomad, or a geek who lives in a parent's basement playing WoW. Either you have experiential knowledge, or you know nothing. Either something is true, or it's on Wikipedia. Biased observations are superior to scientific research, one count of continents is superior to another, and so forth. Gabe clearly can't count past two, and thinks two is fundamentally better than one.
Science and logic involve a process of making the arguer irrelevant to their argument.
That's why we see you as so irrational and ineffectual, Gabe: You constantly change the subject to irrelevant topics, namely us, instead of presenting any meaningful data or addressing legitimate critique.
Your very style of argument is based on an opposition to that fundamental principle.
"Your very style of argument is based on an opposition to that fundamental principle."
That and random digressions that, if they have anything to do with his point, have a better-than-even chance of undermining it.
"Explain any one of the unsupported assertions you've made." "The later Harry Potter books sucked so much that I didn't read them. Also, Quirrel was an unbiased spokesman for truth."
Gabe, is that ALL you heard? You literally didn't even take the time to read what any one of us said and just stopped reading to state, more to yourself than to us, that we are just saying "we're right" over and over again?
Read what we are saying, use actual comprehension. If our arguments are flawed, address them directly and state why they are! We most clearly did NOT just state "we are right" repeatedly.
Either address the specifics of what we are actually arguing, or go away.
"Yeah, you are right. You said you are right and so many times now that it is clear it is right"
BD is correct because he is using critical thinking. Which you, Gabe could do well to read about.
"...you also got members who agree and also state that I am wrong"
Members that, excluding me, use critical thinking.
"..so obviously, I am wrong."
Nice of you to admit it. You can take your ball and go home now.
"That is how it works.."
You plainly don't know how anything works, do you Gabe?
"..remember Bronze"
Bronze doesn't need to remember anything. You,Gabe are the one with the memeory problems. You might want to lay off the industrial strength ganja before you post.
"..a person with experience is less experienced then a person with no experience, just as you say."
Straw man, Gabe. No one is saying that except for you. You do know what a straw man is? Well, just in case I'll make it easy for you. See below.
MWchase said... "I thought he already tried to do that bit, with the whole weird "I'm not actually insulting you except I am" thing when he called someone else a "nigger". I forget who got this... distinction, though I'm guessing Jacqueline or djfav, since they directly needle him the most."
Gabe: "... that is not a insult, and certainly not a way of saying that my opinions is somehow better then yours.."
Naughty Girl: Except thats exactly what you've been saying.
Gabe: "... I just wanted to make you understand that I seen and done alot in this WORLD of ours, not World of Warcraft, not in a TV sitcom, but the Real World, out there..."
Naughty Girl: And you're ineffectually trying to do it again.
I wonder, is Gabe so stupid that he expects us accept that he isn't insulting someone when he clearly is.
Are we sure that Gabe's not just a really offensive Turing Test machine? He seems to be working in circles, like he's only programmed with a few stock arguments.
It's funny that Gabe still thinks this is about my experience versus his.
It's carefully gathered census data versus your sloppily gathered anecdotes, Gabe. You want me to believe that subjective, uncontrolled, biased sources like you are inherently superior to objective data gathered by census takers and other statisticians who followed the scientific method.
You want me to believe that you personally are immune to all human failings, thus you don't need to bow to logic or critical thinking.
To be honest, I have problems believing that you travelled anywhere, no insult nor anything intended
Yeah, and I think you're about fourteen years old and have never left the trailer park you were born in. You want me to scan my fucking passport, asshole?
I pointed out that real experience of the world is factual compared to empty claims and notions from people who has not have had these experiences.
For example, I lived and worked in Thailand, I know the culture albeit my thai is not the best and understand it very well.
I also know the dangers, crimes and social nets people have and how it "works", these things you can only truly "know" if you lived there. If you enter this knowledge as a entry into Wikipedia (that is where the information is from, people who have done or experienced various things with exceptions), you can read it and know the culture, but you do not understand it as you never been there.
If you would go there, or been there as a tourist, this makes it even more irrelevant, a tourist normally live on some sort of resort in a tourist area never seeing nor experiencing the country, and then they go home claiming they "seen and been" in Thailand, yet know nothing about it.
You do have the exceptions, you have the odd backpacker and old timers similar to me who enjoys to "rough it", living amongst the natives staying far away from anything resembling tourism, eat the local food and interact to the local (none tourist) related locals. They have far more change of truly learning about the country and when they go back home, have a more factual knowledge base then their Reosrt brothers.
There is always exceptions to the rule of course, and also there is things that is worth having as an experience, if we use Thailand which is heavily dependent on tourism, to experience the tourist areas would be a good start to see how they work, especially if you truly interact with the locals who deal with westerners, and then you could continue out in the real world and experience the real culture.
I remember one rather amusing thing living in Thailand, I do not remember what the hotel rates where as I rarely stayed in resort style or backpacker style resorts, but lets say 50$ which is a fair price. I went through Trang on my way to Hat Yai and needed somewhere to stay, as I never been t Trang earlier I was a bit of a virgin finding myself around, but eventually I found a Hotel.
That is, what they cal a Hotel there, no signs of course and it probably never had a western soul in it ever. I was forced to pay the horrible and devastating price of 20 baht, which is around 0.60$.
The room I got was Huge. The toilet not much to hail, but it worked and shower was not to bad.Bed rather hard but I did get a fan swinging in the ceiling.
How many Tourist would ever image it¿ A room for Free? As that is my calculation, I paid nothing, that how little it was, and yet no one will ereally experience this, the Real Thailand, they will pay 50$ or 100$ a night for some room that is possible, lets say, 3 times "better", is it really worth it, and why go somewhere if you do not want to experience its true essence?
No Bronze, I pointed out that experience of the real world is important, and certain things can not be shown by some basic statistics. That a country has statistically less salary then another nation does not mean its worse of, depending on its social structure and government and people, it may be completely inferior, or heavily superior, you seem to ignore this, and the truth is, you wouldn't know if you do not visit it or make an attempt to really learn about the nation (I used nations as an example) or cultures.
That was my point, which you ignored over and over again claiming I am wrong.
"That was my point, which you ignored over and over again claiming I am wrong."
Seems like you're the one ignoring points over and over again, Gabe.
You have to define the term "white" before you can extract some superior magic woo woo from it to rub all over your sorry ass. But time and time again you evade providing us with that all important point, to attack straw men.
I pointed out that real experience of the world is factual compared to empty claims and notions from people who has not have had these experiences.
Isn't that just cute? Gabe still still thinks we're interested in dueling eyewitnesses. We're the kind of people who prefer the forensics lab.
Personal anecdotes are only useful as a starting point for scientific analysis: They can tell us what to investigate. Objective, measurable evidence is what we demand. Why do you keep insisting on lingering at the starting line, Gabe?
It's also cute that he thinks his personal experience is beyond fundamental scientific/logical inquiry: We don't get to ask questions of he who resides in the frequent flier mile ivory tower. He just gets to pass on proclamations from on high as if they were holy writs that we must accept on faith and without question.
Once again Bronze, you ignored my entire post and you sound like a whining jealous teenager.
If you can not deal with the fact that I seen so much more then you, Get over it, but do not pretend that you are somehow superior sitting there with less knowledge of the world.
You ignored my entire post, quoted the first lines, thats it, and that shows how you clearly can not handle it. I think my initial point of jealousy was right, but alas, its your blog, you can ignore and continue your bullsh!t, just like Ray Comfort.
"You ignored my entire post, quoted the first lines"
How can Bronze ignore your ENTIRE post and yet quote some lines from it?
"..thats it, and that shows how you clearly can not handle it."
Translation: BWAAAAH!!! You didn't fall for my straw man tactic!
"I think my initial point of jealousy was right.."
Bronze has a lot to be jealous about, the semiliteracy, the ignorance of science, and the love of genocidal losers. Not to mention the lack of critical thought. That really is something to be jealous about. Not.
"..but alas, its your blog, you can ignore and continue your bullsh!t"
Gabe, there were times when I truly wish Bronze Dog had ignored your bullshit. Maybe then you'd have taken your ball and gone back to that Nazi fantasyland that you hide in. Then we wouldn't have had to read your pathetically ignorant posts.
"...just like Ray Comfort."
Funny that you should mention Banana Man Ray. You are a lot like him, Gabe. You lack an understanding of evolution and try to lecture those who do understand it, in a feeble attempt to impress us. Then fall back on anecdotes to back up your sad little fantasies, when you should be going scientific evidence on our asses. You also lack a sense of irony, just like cretinist Ray.
Are you ready to tell us your definition of "white" now, or are you going to stay a whining coward all your life?
I didn't see much point in continuing to read that post when you still have the massively backwards idea of capital-A Authority by experience. That's one of the base levels of fractal wrongness you have, and spouting that involved ignoring what I said earlier. Hence I included the second "still" with italics.
I'm just narrowing my focus on one place where you've gone horribly wrong.
Gabe, you should be grateful that anyone bothers to respond at all, especially now that you have given up any pretense of defending your racist ideology and resort to lame trolling instead.
"Now, would you be so kind as to fuck off and die."
I still love your direct way with Nazi apologists, djfav. I'm wondering if it will get into Gabe's thick skull that he has had his sorry ass handed to him on a plate several times. He should be about ready to take his ball away from the mean skeptics and go home.
Hmmm, missed Gabe pulling yet another thread jump.
Gabe, we're still waiting for you to define who you mean when you say white.
So what are you going to do: Give your definition, admit that you can't define it, (and thus that your entire position is meaningless), or are you going to continue pretending that you have not been repeatedly asked?

You won't miss it. I don't.
Ah so Netflix does TV series too?
If I can get science channel specials, Daily Show/Colbert Report, the few remaining good shows there are on Cartoon Network any more (live action movies? Seriously?), then I've pretty much got everything I bother with on TV any more. Plus it's not like I won't still get the broadcasted stations. I guess I'm just wondering about how well Netflix works.
Really? I haven't necessarily looked in great detail, but it seems Netflix has a remarkable paucity of television episodes available for streaming.
Of course, I haven't had TV for over a decade now and I've somehow managed...
Sad.

Farscape is all the TV you need dude! :)

Nazi untermensch Gabe is full of shit.
So there you have it. Short and to the point, folks. You don't have to have visited Hampi or Hospet to know that our resident troll is a total wanker.
JS:)

"Seven?

Erm... are you stupid or is it another American oddity to split Asia and Europe?
Either way;
It's always been seven to me.
N Amer
S Amer
Africa
Europe
Asia
Australia
Antarctica
To split EuroAsia is rather stupid, not to mention ignorant (as EuroAsia is one continent) but that is what we do it seems.
It was different when I was young, we called EuroAsia one Continent, as that is what it is, Today its "Two" Continents (dividing Europe and Asia borderline being various mountain ranges(?)) instead.
Time changes, rather stupidly I am sad to say. I guess Continent simple means political grouping now.
Less political, more Cultural.
This leaves
America
Eurasiafrica
Australia
Antarctica
and a bunch of islands.
- The reason we go to 7 continents has less to do with the definition and is more in line with the arbitrary historical significance- which is why North and South America are seperate, as well as (for reasons that are even stronger) Europe is seperate from Asia.
May as well stop being Anon- I'm the previous two Anons- and the one two above that.
"Erm... are you stupid ..."
"Less political, more Cultural."
and "Addendum: If we want ..."
Gabriel, Love the black man, don't be so closeminded and limited, you know nothing about the world even if you have experienced it (and you lied about Egypt), REALITY is the keyword old man, do not fear it. Gabe: Bronze, your whining seems more like a jealous streak of complaints. I think it boils down to this, you are jealous that you haven`t travelled and will probably never do.
Ah, yes, I complain about how insipid your subject changing is, and you take that opportunity to change the subject in desperation. Again.

JS:)
Very, very simple question, Gabe:
If I look at some professionally gathered census data and then travel to the location the data was gathered, will that census data magically change?
Of course, you won't answer because you're too embarrassed to admit you're a stoner hippie.

I think that is a good explanation for Gabe's rambling and forgetfulness. He has a toke on some uberskunk from his chillum, and then goes online to post his Nazi drivel.
I do take issue with Gabe being a hippy though. He sounds nothing like Steve Hillage!
JS;)
"it is just that I been here for over 6 months and no one travelled at all"
I would would like to call bullshit on that.
BULLSHIT
Thank you.
Get some new material.
But you can't understand that, can you?
"Explain any one of the unsupported assertions you've made."
"The later Harry Potter books sucked so much that I didn't read them.
Whining sad Nazi loser bawled:
See below.
El espantapájaros
La falacia del espantapájaros es cuando se representa erróneamente la posición de otro para que pueda ser atacada fácilmente, luego, se destruye la posición errónea y se concluye que la posición original ha sido destruida.
That's why you never bothered to learn the basics of logic and just bought into Deepak Chopra.
To be honest, I have problems believing that you travelled anywhere, no insult nor anything intended
Yeah, and I think you're about fourteen years old and have never left the trailer park you were born in. You want me to scan my fucking passport, asshole?
No Bronze, that is not what "I think".
Gabe gurgled:
"That was my point, which you ignored over and over again claiming I am wrong."
Seems like you're the one ignoring points over and over again, Gabe.
You have to define the term "white" before you can extract some superior magic woo woo from it to rub all over your sorry ass. But time and time again you evade providing us with that all important point, to attack straw men.
JS;)
No sense of irony, then, Gabe?
Seriously. Turing test.
Gababy gurgled:
JS;)
I didn't see much point in continuing to read that post when you still have the massively backwards idea of capital-A Authority by experience. That's one of the base levels of fractal wrongness you have, and spouting that involved ignoring what I said earlier. Hence I included the second "still" with italics.
I'm just narrowing my focus on one place where you've gone horribly wrong.
Gabe, you should be grateful that anyone bothers to respond at all, especially now that you have given up any pretense of defending your racist ideology and resort to lame trolling instead.
Now, would you be so kind as to fuck off and die.
My beloved darling djfav said:

I still love your direct way with Nazi apologists, djfav.
I'm wondering if it will get into Gabe's thick skull that he has had his sorry ass handed to him on a plate several times.
He should be about ready to take his ball away from the mean skeptics and go home.
JS;)
Hmmm, missed Gabe pulling yet another thread jump.
Gabe, we're still waiting for you to define who you mean when you say white.
So what are you going to do: Give your definition, admit that you can't define it, (and thus that your entire position is meaningless), or are you going to continue pretending that you have not been repeatedly asked?
