Dog Treats #2: Zero

It's been a while since my first "Dog Treats" post. Just haven't been in the mood for a general informative ramble. So I paid someone: A while back, MarkCC was offering to write articles for people who donated to a Scienceblogs DonorsChoose challenge. I dropped a little piece of my bank account in there, and requested he post a little something about the number zero. He's going to add more, later, but judging from his start, he's going to be talking about zero in greater depth than I could hope for.

I doubt he'll be doing some of the irrelevant tangents I'd put in, though.
